    SUSUMU was started from the founder’s personal project of reusing scraps of awning
    fabric from her family business.

    She occasionally helped her family business while she was working in London as a fashion designer,
    and realized considerable amount of awning fabric pieces were thrown away
    due to the various needs of fabric sizes at the construction sites.

    The idea of SUSUMU was started from there.

    The label branched out to various products with the goal of creating
    sustainable and desirable home and fashion items.

    With meaning of the name being two waters coming to dance together
    in Hanja, Chinese in Korean pronunciation,
    SUSUMU 수수무 水水舞 wants to stay environmentally friendly and bring joy to people’s daily lives.

    '물들이 만나 춤을 추다’ 라는 의미를 지닌 수수무는 쓰고 남은 자투리 어닝 원단을 업사이클링해 패션 아이템과 리빙 소품을 만들며 시작 되었습니다.
    현대적, 쉬운 디자인, 한국의 문화, 친환경 – 이 것들이 수수무의 키워드 입니다.
    이 키워드들이 자연스럽게 녹아있는 디자인으로 사람들의 일상에 즐거움을 주는 브랜드로 자리잡고자 합니다.
